Halloween Time

So Halloween is coming at me much faster than anticipated. I really can't believe that it's already two weeks away. Usually I would have some kind of idea on what I would be wearing or doing , but alas, this year it seems like nothing is sticking to the walls. Seems the old well of inspiration may have run dry concerning costumes. I guess it doesn't help that there are multiple engagements all within 4 days of each other competing for my attention, plus throw my birthday into the equation and you have a nice recipe for being a little overwhelmed. God. My birthday. Is it that time of year already? My how the time flies. Before you know it, you'll be reading my next blog about Christmas shopping, or my distaste for dealing with the holiday crowds, or how I ate too much turkey for Thanksgiving and drank to much on New Years. I guess it's time to brace myself for the "holidays". I guess my sole affirmation will be that I will be amongst my nearest and dearest friends and family for the whole thing, which makes this time of year bearable for me. So hopefully something will come to me in the night like a bolt of lightning to the head and jump start this holiday season for me, because right now, it's looking like a barren cupboard up there in the old think tank.

The Eagle Has Landed

Welcome to my Blog. I take it if your here, you have nothing better to do on the internet with all of its thousands of entertainment options. Since I really don't know what I'm going to be doing with this yet I'll just start this thing out with some music that I've been listening to lately.

Wanda Jackson - Funnel of Love

Gotta love this one. Love her voice. It's a love song but it sounds spooky, how great is that?

Antipop Consortium - Lay Me Down

Sick ass beat? Check. Crazy metal guitar/drum solo intro? Check. Put this one on next time your driving, see if you feel any different.

Hanni El Khatib - You Rascal You
Super simple song, really white stripes-ish, I can't help but love it's just a guitar and drummer. And who doesn't like a song with handclaps?

And finally...

Mayer Hawthorne - I Need You
I gotta throw up some Mayer on here, love this white boy. If I owned a lowrider this would be the song I played while I was cruising in it.

That should get you started on being half as cool has me. Until next time.
